Spanish Locator Form
The Spanish government, similarly like governments of many countries in the world, decided to take some preventive measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 within the country. One of such measures implemented in Spain was the introduction of the Spanish Locator Form.
General Information About the Spanish Locator Form
SpTH is an online questionnaire that includes all relevant information about a person entering Spain, including travel and health details. This way, the Spanish government is able to track any potential coronavirus cases and take appropriate measures to stop the spread of the virus.
Spain Locator Form must be completed by every traveler arriving in Spain either via air or sea. The form is obligatory for all passengers no matter their age, nationality, or travel purpose.
Travelers transiting through Spain are also required to fill out the SpTH.
All applicants need to complete the form 48 hours prior to the intended arrival time in Spain.
Every passenger needs to provide basic personal data, like name, surname, birth date, nationality, passport, or ID number. Apart from such details, a passenger is asked to provide travel and health-related information. It is also necessary to submit contact information like an email address.
Each Spanish Locator Form is matched to one applicant and cannot be transferred to another. Moreover, every new trip requires completing a new form.
Underage passengers, or disabled travelers, should ask their guardians for help with filling out the SpTH forms. The guardians will be responsible for the accuracy of the data entered in the form.
The government of Spain allows also to fill out the SpTH form collectively as a group. One group can maximally include 15 travelers. One person must be responsible for the group/family. Moreover, the entire group/family needs to travel to Spain together (the same ship or flight number) and come from the same country.
How to Apply for SpTH Forma
The Spanish Locator Form is to be completed entirely online. All travelers to Spain simply need to prepare an Internet-connected electronic device, while the application will not take more than a couple of minutes.
The online application comprises the following steps:
- Enter the required information and make sure that all the data provided is correct and true.
- Choose one of the available options of online payment and cover the processing fee.
- Go to your email inbox and check if the approved SpTH form was delivered to you. The document will be sent together with a QR code that is individually assigned to every applicant.
Every traveler to Spain should save an electronic copy in PDF with a QR code on an electronic device. You can also print it out and keep its hard copy at hand throughout your entire trip and stay.
Health Requirements to Enter Spain
Currently, all travelers coming from high-risk countries who plan to visit Spain need to provide:
- a negative PCR/antigen test result
- a vaccination proof
- a valid recovery certificate (alternatively)
The Spanish government updates the list every week.
